Misbah-ul-Haq. Guinness world record
First the Telegraph and now Guinness Book of world records, Misbah is hailed and praised these days. The Telegraph ranked hum as the best test batsman in current league of international cricketing captains and Guinness Book gave him a place for his world record.

Misbah in that innings equaled the record for hitting the fastest test century in the history of cricket. He equaled the record with none other than Sir Vivian Richards. It was a fantastic knock from the Pakistan captain that just had everything.
From high hitting shots to cheeky singles and off course the famous outside edge that went to the third man boundary and pushed Misbah to equal the record. Misbah faced 56 deliveries to reach the record ton.
It took him 74 minutes to hit his hundred which also is the second fastest hundred in terms of minutes and seconds. The fastest is by Jack Gregory stretching out to a 70 minutes venture. Misbah made a lot of records that day.
First he is the second only Pakistani who now has a test ton in both innings of a test match against Australia. Before him only Inzamam has done it. Australians have remained the toughest opponents for the Pakistani players.
Misbah in that innings opened his shoulders when Younas Khan departed and hit Steve Smith for 3 sixes and 1 four in a single over. Misbah cut loose after that didn’t spare the likes of Starc and Johnsson as well.
He kept pushing them behind with his extra ordinary hitting and ball after ball the Aussies sunk in the trench of pressure and misery. Misbah was riding on the top of the waves that day and not a single flip was in his way.
Before the century he broke the record for the fastest test fifty. Misbah scored his on 21 balls while before him the world record was with South African all-rounder Kallis who hit a 24 ball test fifty against Zimbabwe.
Misbah didn’t realize that he was near to make a record before he was told and when the edge hit the boundary he punched in the air in celebrations. The captain of Pakistan was happy to achieve a world record to his name.
Misbah surprisingly has no ODI hundred under his stats. He has a lot of PDI half centuries but he never went on to convert his fifty into a ton. Misbah’s highest score is 96 not out.
The Guianese Book of world records will exhibit the test captain of Pakistan in their 2016 edition and with the written details about his record there will also be his picture posted in the book taken from the moment he broke the record.
In deed for Misbah and his fans and for Pakistan it is a great moment that a Pakistani has made it to the Guianese Book of World records. There was very less people in the world who get a chance to get their names registered in this book, Misbah earned it with great hard work.
